Where did our summer go? It is well and truly autumn now, but there is plenty to be getting on with before winter sets in!

Here are some tasks to be getting on with in autumn:
• Laying a new lawn so the roots can get established before winter.
• Tidying up the annuals and perennials.
• Keeping the lawn and borders clear of leaves.
• Giving your hedges a final trim.
• Cleaning your patio and steps so they are less slippery in winter.
• Planting up some winter containers for a splash of colour.
• Mulching your borders.
• Planning changes to your garden for next year.
